I have just started up the Mr Science blog for my radio show on China Radio International. Listen in at 5.05pm Beijing time (8.05pm Sydney time) on Fridays at www.crienglish.com - then click "Easy FM".
The blog address is: Mr Science (www.misterscience.blogspot.com)
Annoyingly, people in China can't actually go to blogspot pages as they are blocked by the government (joining other offensive pages such as wikipedia and bbc-online). So, that's a shame, hopefully I'll republish somewhere else where CRIs listeners can log in, but until then, this is a great home for the blog and hopefully a whole bunch of other people can enjoy the popular science in the blog.
I've put up The end of the universe which is this Friday's show (31/3/2006) and The mathematics of looking beautiful (10/3/2006).
I'll get some audio up when it comes in.

How to cure an ear ache...
I'm up far too late, thanks to an incredibly painful ear ache, so I'm having a late night whinge. Why is it that doctors can't not only cure these things, but diagnose them in the first place? It took 2 doctors, one of whom syringed my ear which is an apparently really bad thing to do, to get me on antibiotics. At least that's better than the 3 it took last time. Anyway, I can't sleep as the antibiotics just don't seem to be working, so I'll post to my under-developed blog, talk on Messenger to Ireland (hi Cate) and watch Entertainment Tonight. I'm waiting for the codeine bliss to kick in, but it just doesn't seem to want to tonight.
On the weekend, I was best man at the lovely wedding of Scott and Samantha. They are at the moment somewhere in WA, doing whatever people do on their honeymoons. The reception was out at Allegro in Kenthurst and we got around in these cool Jags. If the happy couple are up at the moment, I seriously hope they are not on the internet checking my blog.
